Who we are

VISION

Montana Association for the Education of Young Children strives to be the number one member organization in Montana to support, provide resources and advocate for the early care and education community.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Montana Association for the Education of Young Children is to improve professional practice and working conditions for all teachers and caregivers of children, birth to eight years, and to build understanding and support for high quality early childhood programs through:
1. The accreditation process and guiding policy
2. Grassroots advocacy efforts
3. Informing communities about current research and the importance of early childhood years
4. Promoting best practices
5. Recognizing quality and accredited programs in Montana

VALUE STATEMENT

Montana Association for the Education of Young Children exists
1.) to raise awareness of how children develop and learn,
2.) to advocate for early child professionals,
3.) to collaborate with other organizations and institutions, and
4.) to support those who work with young children and their families.
